With a generous heart and a sturdy hand,
Christ was laid in the tomb of a man –
A man named Joseph of Arimathea
Who knew that Jesus was the promised Messiah.
He knew the Spirit of Christ would return,
So he treated the Lord’s body with great concern.
And when, to him, was returned his tomb,
He knew, by faith, he had escaped death’s doom,
For Jesus, the Christ, had risen in victory
And guaranteed him life for all eternity!
