My life was bound for a hopeless end,
For I was walking in my sin.
My past was black, my future dark,
I was falling short of God’s righteous mark!
But then one day came a message of mercy,
A ray of hope my heart could see.
I learned of Jesus, Who died and was raised,
And I turned to Him that I might be saved!
Now my life has an endless hope,
With purpose in the present and eternal scope.
Jesus died and rose, thus forgave my sin,
And my hope of Heaven ever rests in Him!!
