God’s wonderful Word of truth,
What music to my ears.
God’s Word of hope to comfort me
Lest I be moved to tears.
God’s Word of love to chasten me
Lest I be prone to stray.
God’s Word of joy to gladden me
Lest sorrow stand in my way.
God’s Word of faith to strengthen me
Lest doubting fill my heart.
God’s Word of truth to lead me
Lest in error I would depart.
God’s Word of truth is set apart in me
Lest I forget what Christ has done.
Lest I forget that all I have
Is because of God’s dear Son!
